Transformers: Robots in Disguise

All modern toys are crap. Nothing beats 80s toys. Our generation had it so good.


Transformers were possibly THE greatest toy of the THE greatest decade in human history.

Transformers, robots in disguise. I bloody loved them. Everybody did. You had the Autobots (good guys) and the decepticons (bad guys).

My absolute favourite was the Lamborghini Countach (Sideswipe), whereas the Rolls Royce of the Transformer world was Optimus Prime.

All kids had at least one or more of the following: Transformer sheets and pillow cases, Transformer pants, Transformer socks, Transformer pyjamas, Transformer lunchboxes, Transformers pencil cases, Transformer curtains, Transformer shoes, and so forth.




I remember the little hologram on each toy that you had to press with your thumb to heat it up and reveal it!

Jazz Porsche 935
Bluestreak Datsun zx
Sideswipe Lamborghini Countach
Optimus Prime Truck

You also had some cool decpticons that were fighter jets; think they were called Thrust or Ram jet or something.
